  What happened immediately after your Judicial Committee was over?

  whenever i went to my judicial committee (over 3 years ago), the elders opened with a prayer for jehbooboo's guidance.

  then they followed up with their loyalty question, "do you believe in the faithful and discreet slave?".

  of course i answered "no", and shortly thereafter i handed over my disassociation letter.

  Mine was for adultery, diliberate and planned, it was a full 2 years after leaving the wife and religion. I knew i was never going back to either and that was why i did it.

  The JC was with 3 elders, one a sort of mentor, one a pretty good friend that i had worked for and the other i cant remember...must have been the token 3rd guy. There was the prayer of course and a couple of scriptures about hurting god and repentance, which is when it went south for them.

  I just said I'm not sorry, I dont feel i have hurt 'jehovah', in fact he couldn't care less about me. I prayed, i creid, i studied i explained...nothing. he does not care. I do not want to be a christian anymore.

  Obviously there were no loyalty questions. Their biggest problem was that they didnt want to DF me and kept asking ME what THEY should do! I just said DF, i would.

  and that was that. I left, drove home saying 'oh. well, thats that, god will kill me at armageddon...and i'll give him the finger while he does"

  I did remain an apologist for another 10 years though...

  The more i looked at the universe, the BIGGER it got!

  the bigger it got, the more i realized that the fate of the WHOLE Universe resting on the events on this planet, so small that it becomes invisible in the cosmos, was just utter cave man thinking that the sun moon and earth were all there was in the universe.

  The bible stayed stuck in time while science evolved

  This was truly a case of science doing its job

  hmmm.... how many of you, in the process of waking up, got really angry with websites like jwfacts.com etc.. etc... even calling them slanders etc?

  Never got angry at any ex JW sites, but i did get angry about the WT and JWs

  1973 versus 2013 (40 years later)... How much confidence have J-Dubs lost in the Slave's "End-Time" estimations?

  back in 1973, when i was just a pre-teen, i remember that meetings in general were chock full of persecution talks, great tribulation talks and armageddon talks.

  so much so, that there was a hightened sense of anticipation that the end was really just a few years away.

  most j-dubs really believed, without any doubt, that freddy's estimation about armageddon in 1975 was a certainty (give or take a few months... not years).

  I remember it well too, I was 13 in 1975. We buried a stack of bibles and watchtowers under the floor of the shed, ready to collect in the dark of night drom some forest hideaway. Persecution was all the talk.

  these days its a case of dont mention and after a few years no JW will even remember. With one of the highest revolving door memberships of any religion, that wont take too long.
